The number of South Korean visitors to China has increased year-on-year, and the visa-free policy is expected to drive continuous growth in the subsequent period.

According to the latest official statistics from the South Korean government, the number of South Korean visitors to China from January to June this year reached approximately 1.714 million, representing a 16% increase compared with the same period last year. The South Korean industry generally regards China as an "overseas tourism destination featuring short distance and excellent experience", and it is predicted that the total number of South Korean tourists traveling to China will maintain a growing trend in 2026. As reported by the South Korean newspaper *Dong-a Ilbo*, China is attracting increasing attention from South Korean tourists as a "cost-effective tourism destination", and the range of travel products for trips to China continues to expand. In particular, China's visa-free entry policy for South Korean citizens with a maximum stay of 30 days, which has been in effect since November 2024, saves South Korean tourists relevant expenses including visa application fees and greatly cuts their travel costs.
