South Korean biopharmaceutical companies will hold global cooperation events during the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference to promote overseas expansion.

       According to a report by South Korea's "edaily" on January 12, against the backdrop of South Korea's pharmaceutical exports exceeding $10 billion for the first time in 2025, a comprehensive platform to accelerate the overseas expansion of South Korean biomedical companies and promote cooperation with global pharmaceutical and investment institutions is about to be launched. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced that they will hold the "Korea Biomedical Global Partnership" event in San Francisco, the United States, on the 13th local time. This event will be held in conjunction with the "JP Morgan Healthcare Conference" for the first time.

       The current JP Morgan Healthcare Conference is being held from January 12 to 16. It attracts about 8,000 people from global pharmaceutical, biotech companies, and investment institutions every year, focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as the integration of new drug research and development and AI. In this event, a total of 36 South Korean pharmaceutical and biotech startups with overseas development potential are participating. They will showcase their innovative technologies to global pharmaceutical companies and investment institutions and actively seek overseas partners.

        KOTRA said that it will promote in - depth cooperation between South Korean biomedical companies and global capital and industrial resources through this event, further consolidating the position of South Korea's biomedical industry as a core export industry in South Korea.
