Inflation in Bosnia and Herzegovina was 3.5% in January, with housing and energy prices rising by 1.9%.

According to the data released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in January 2026, the consumer prices in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina increased by 0.7% month-on-month, and the annual inflation rate reached 3.5%.

Observing by the classification of personal consumption purposes, the categories with price increases include: housing, water, electricity, gas and other energy increased by 1.9%; food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 1.3%; alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 0.5%; education increased by 0.4%; medical and health care and hotel catering both increased by 0.2%; communication and culture and entertainment both increased by 0.1%.

The categories with price decreases are: clothing and footwear decreased by 0.9%; transportation decreased by 0.8%; other goods and services decreased by 0.2%; furniture, household equipment and daily house maintenance decreased by 0.1%.
