Peruvian power transmission operator enters the non-traditional renewable energy market
Recently, the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru has sent positive signals regarding solar energy development in the Moquegua region. It has successively granted key rights and interests to two key photovoltaic projects, accelerating the layout of clean energy in the region.
Among them, the 100MW Montalvo Solar Park, for which the power transmission franchisee ATN submitted an application in July this year, has obtained a temporary concession from the ministry. According to the content of the rights and interests, ATN can use public property and obtain temporary right - of - way. The temporary concession can be renewed once (for a maximum of 1 year), and the company has the priority to apply for the final concession. Next, ATN will have 24 months to conduct a project feasibility study in the Moquegua District of Mariscal Nieto Province.
