Yunnan's first batch of edible cactus leaves exported to Vietnam, with customs assistance for clearance

On August 5th, in the production and processing workshop of One Mu Good Field (Yunnan) Agricultural Investment Co., Ltd. in Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, a batch of 20 tons of edible cactus leaves was cleared by Tianbao Customs under Kunming Customs and shipped to Vietnam.

“Previously, our sales were mainly focused on the domestic market. This is the first time we've received an order from a foreign customer. Since we didn't understand the export regulatory requirements and procedures, we didn't know how to make the declaration and were worried about not being able to deliver the goods on time,” said Wang Yi, the market department supervisor of One Mu Good Field. After receiving the enterprise's appeal, Tianbao Customs immediately tailored a customs clearance plan for the enterprise. Through the “Customs-Enterprise Communication Group”, it regularly pushed relevant standard rules for plant quarantine, guided the enterprise to carry out commodity code classification rulings, apply for the record of the export food raw material planting base, establish and effectively operate a perfect epidemic prevention and control and quality safety management system, and helped the enterprise successfully obtain the record qualification. At the same time, it strengthened the daily supervision of the enterprise's planting base, guided the enterprise to conduct regular pest monitoring, standardize key links such as the use of inputs and agricultural operations, and effectively improved the comprehensive pest control ability and the quality safety management level.

“We opened a ‘green channel’ and set up special personnel and positions to guide the enterprise to conduct the local inspection declaration, implement ‘priority inspection’, and enable the enterprise to quickly complete the application for the inspection and quarantine certificate through the ‘cloud issuance’ mode of the inspection and quarantine certificate, ensuring that the products can be shipped overseas ‘fresh’,” said Chen Junli, the section chief of the audit section of Tianbao Customs.

“The successful export of our products has given us more confidence in expanding the market. For the next target market for cactus exports, we are also in the process of contacting local purchasers simultaneously, striving to achieve new breakthroughs as soon as possible and inject strong impetus into rural revitalization,” said Zhang Hongye, the person in charge of One Mu Good Field.
