Thailand has unveiled a new investment promotion strategy to the world, focusing on three major sectors to pursue high-quality development.

Recently, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Thailand, delivered a keynote speech at the first "2026 Bangkok Business Summit" held in Bangkok, announcing the strategy of "Thailand’s Offer to the World", which focuses on attracting global investment from three major sectors: high technology and artificial intelligence, green economy, and longevity economy.

Anutin stated that in the face of multiple changes such as geopolitics, technology, climate change and demographic structure, Thailand has turned challenges into development opportunities. Thailand has relatively sound infrastructure and mature industrial clusters in automotive, electronics, food, medical care and other sectors, with skilled labor, local suppliers and digital networks, so investors do not need to "start from scratch". At the same time, Thailand will play the role of a regional platform to facilitate investors' access to the ASEAN market.

In terms of investment priorities, Thailand will promote the development of high-tech and AI industries to enhance the innovation capability of its domestic workforce and small and medium-sized enterprises; attract global climate finance through green transformation, develop clean energy and climate-resilient infrastructure; tap into the market opportunities brought by aging, and focus on developing health, medical tourism and related technologies.

To improve the business environment, the Thai government is reviewing more than 7,000 regulations and advancing its accession to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to improve governance and regulatory standards and boost the confidence of foreign investors.

Anutin emphasized that what Thailand hopes to attract is not just investments that simply build production bases, but high-quality investments that can nurture local suppliers, train Thai talents and create new knowledge, so as to promote Thailand and international investors to jointly build future industries.
