On the afternoon of August 10, Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, in cooperation with Qiantang New Area, held an online exchange meeting with the Mogilev Free Economic Zone of Belarus. Vitaly Ignatovich, Deputy Director of the Administration of Mogilev Free Economic Zone, and Irina Davydenko, Deputy Director, attended the event.
At the meeting, the Administration of Mogilev Free Economic Zone introduced the overall development status of the park, key industries and favorable investment policies. Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce focused on introducing the progress of building the "BRICS Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone" and the next-step work plan, and invited the Mogilev Free Economic Zone to come to Hangzhou in September to participate in the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo, 2026 BRICS Special Economic Zones Hangzhou Dialogue and other activities. The Qiantang District Bureau of Commerce promoted the industrial foundation and platform carrier advantages of Qiantang New Area, and discussed the cooperation space for industrial complementarity and project implementation between the two sides.

The Mogilev Free Economic Zone of Belarus was founded in 2002, with a planned total area of 3712 hectares. It currently has 59 settled enterprises with a cumulative total investment of 1.9 billion euros, focusing on industries including new materials, fine chemicals and high-end machinery manufacturing; business entities in the zone can enjoy full tax preferences such as exemption from corporate income tax, real estate tax, land tax and import and export tariffs.
