The Naftal delegation of Algeria visited Niger to inspect energy infrastructure and investment projects.

According to a report by the Algerian media "El Moudjahid" on June 24, a delegation from the National Fuel Sales Company of Algeria (Naftal) recently continued its on - the - spot inspection in Niger. They conducted research on the energy infrastructure in areas such as Zinder, Agadez, and Tahoua, as well as the locations of proposed investment projects, in order to evaluate the investment opportunities for cooperation with the Niger Petroleum Company (SONIDEP). The inspection content includes fuel storage depots, fuel distribution centers, liquefied gas cylinder filling centers, and the sites for proposed fuel storage and distribution projects.

This inspection is an important measure in the project implementation stage after the two parties previously signed a memorandum of understanding. It aims to collect the technical and economic data required for the project feasibility study, focusing on areas such as the development of the asphalt business, the improvement of fuel storage and transportation capabilities, liquefied gas filling, and personnel training.

During the inspection, the relevant local governments in Niger stated that the relevant projects will help promote local economic development and enhance the energy security capabilities.
