South Korea plans to cultivate 500 small and medium-sized export enterprises with an annual export value of over $10 million by 2030.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea said on Tuesday that the government plans to cultivate 500 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with an export value of at least $10 million by 2030. According to officials from the ministry, under the "K-export star 500" program, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has taken the lead in selecting 100 South Korean companies with export potential. These companies include 43 consumer goods companies, 36 key industry companies, and 21 advanced industry companies. The ministry plans to provide up to 560 million won in funds to each company to help them enhance their competitiveness in the global market and promote exports.
