In January 2026, the trade volume of goods between China and Peru increased by 23.9% year-on-year.
The monthly trade report of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru shows that in January 2026, the total value of Peru's goods imports and exports reached 14.126 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 19.4%. Among them, the export value was 9.192 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 31.6%; the import value reached 4.933 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%, and the trade surplus was 4.259 billion US dollars. The foreign trade continued to grow rapidly.
During the same period, the total trade volume between China and Peru reached 5.047 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 23.9%. Among them, Peru's exports to China were 3.328 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 28.1%. The main export products, copper, gold, silver, and squid, increased by 12.5%, 62.7%, 54.6%, and 2905.9% respectively; the imports from China were 1.719 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 16.4%. The main imported products, mobile phones, steel, vehicles, and clothing, increased by 34.4%, 35.9%, 102.5%, and 3% respectively. Peru had a trade surplus of 1.609 billion US dollars with China.
