Cambodia and Laos signed an agreement on cross-border transportation of agricultural products to promote the exchange of agricultural products and deepen agricultural cooperation.

       Recently, Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia, held a bilateral meeting with Lin Kang Duangchavan, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and Environment of Laos, and jointly witnessed the signing of the "Agreement on Cross - border Transportation of Agricultural Products", promoting the inter - connectivity of agricultural products.

       Dith Tina stated that Cambodia will continue to promote agricultural trade and facilitate the inter - connectivity of agricultural products between the two countries. In particular, Cambodian agricultural products will be exported to the Chinese market through Laos. The signing of this agreement marks the further strengthening of bilateral relations. The technical working groups of the two countries will jointly study the cross - border transportation process of agricultural products, aiming to open up a channel for Cambodian agricultural products to enter the Chinese market.

       The two sides also mentioned the possibility of deepening cooperation in multiple fields between Cambodia and Laos, including connecting value chains, supplying fertilizer raw materials from Laos, improving the investment environment, improving varieties, raising production standards, and holding agricultural achievement exhibitions. The two sides believe that all cooperation should attach great importance to quality standards, safety, low costs, and economic benefits. In particular, the two sides should strengthen joint cooperation in forest fire prevention, forest protection, wildlife protection, biodiversity, and natural resource conservation.
