Pakistan cuts tariffs on imported food and cars

In July 2025, Pakistan reduced import tariffs. The tariff on SUVs was cut by 44%, and that on coffee and pet food was reduced by 20%.

       According to Pakistani media reports, the Pakistani Federal Board of Revenue has stated that it will reduce the regulatory duties on hundreds of imported goods, which will take effect on July 1, 2025 (the first day of the 2025 - 26 fiscal year). The duty on imported SUVs will see the largest reduction (44%), and the duties on instant coffee in retail packages and cat and dog food will be cut by 20%.
