Communication University of Zhejiang
Communication University of Zhejiang is a higher education institution jointly established by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province and the National Radio and Television Administration. It is a high‑level media university with distinctive industry characteristics. The university traces its roots to Zhejiang Radio and Television School, founded in 1978, was upgraded to a bachelor's degree‑granting institution in 2004, and was approved as a master's degree‑granting unit in 2021. It has two campuses — Hangzhou Qiantang and Tongxiang Wuzhen — comprising 18 colleges and teaching units, with over 15,000 enrolled students and more than 1,400 faculty and staff, including over 150 national, provincial, and ministerial level talents as well as senior industry professionals. The university offers programs in six academic disciplines: arts, literature, engineering, management, education, and economics. Its art studies (drama and film) and journalism and communication are designated provincial first‑class disciplines (Category A). To date, over 100 of its alumni have received top industry awards such as the Changjiang Taofen Award, China News Award, and Golden Microphone Award.
