Cooperation agreements worth 40.105 billion yuan signed and implemented, China-Africa economic and trade cooperation opens up a new situation
On November 7, the 2025 China-Africa Economic, Trade and Cultural Forum was held in Jinhua, Zhejiang. At the event site, China and Africa reached cooperation agreements on 33 projects, including the agricultural service output project in Nigeria, the wind power project in Ras Gharib, Suez Bay, Egypt, and the joint key laboratory project for advanced and applicable agricultural machinery and equipment between China and Africa. These projects cover areas such as trade, overseas investment, and contracted engineering, with a total signing amount of 40.105 billion yuan.
It is reported that as a supporting activity under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, the forum takes "Economic and trade prosperity, cultural mutual learning, win-win partnership, and people-to-people connectivity" as its theme, focuses on key areas such as economy and trade, culture, tourism, vocational education, and agriculture, and has established a mechanism of "platform building + project signing + results release".
During the event, the "Report on Chinese Enterprises' Investment in Africa (2025)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report") was also released simultaneously. Wu Yanming, the president of the China-Africa Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector, introduced that the "Report" systematically sorted out the key data of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation and deeply analyzed typical cases of enterprise investment, providing a reference for grasping the in-depth development and diversified trends of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation and promoting the investment cooperation between the two sides to a broader field and a higher level.
It is reported that the "Report" has been released for five consecutive years. From focusing on the role of enterprises and market forces in 2021, shifting to the perspective of supply chain cooperation in 2022, to in-depth exploration of industrial chain development and added value improvement in 2023, and then to systematic elaboration of the contribution of China-Africa investment cooperation to Africa's industrialization process in 2024, the evolution of its themes clearly outlines the deepening trajectory of China-Africa investment cooperation.
It is introduced that the 2025 "Report" takes "Co-construction and connection of China-Africa investment and African regional integration" as its theme, analyzes the positive impact of various measures under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation on promoting African regional economic integration, and especially focuses on cooperation opportunities in emerging fields such as green industries and technological intelligence.
