Dr. Huo Jianguo is an economics expert with a doctoral degree in international economy and trade from Nankai University. He's a researcher and doctoral supervisor, formerly Vice President of the Chinese Society for WTO Studies and Director of the Ministry of Commerce's Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation. He has long been engaged in foreign trade and economic management and policy research. From 1993 to 2001, Huo participated in China's WTO accession negotiations and APEC activities. Post - WTO accession, he led research on response strategies for 14 industries under the State Economic and Trade Commission, achieving positive results. He's also a distinguished advisor for the "Belt and Road" city economic and trade cooperation forum, a recipient of the State Council's special allowance, and has published many economic articles and books like "China's Foreign Trade and National Competitiveness", with a focus on the international economy, trade, and foreign trade management and policy research.
